Learn to swim
45 minute class
Swimming is a low impact activity that has been shown to have great health benefits – however, not all adults have had the opportunity to learn how to swim.
It’s never too late to start and whether you are an anxious beginner (who may have had some negative past experiences) or someone who is relatively comfortable in the water we can meet your needs.
We offer classes with small numbers designed to help you achieve success. From building self confidence in the water our teachers can help you progress through to learning and attaining a high skill level with each of the competitive swimming strokes.
* Our Adult Learn to Swim session times are available subject to bookings or by special arrangement.

Lap swimming
Swimming is a great way to build and maintain personal fitness and wellbeing for all ages and ability groups.
Moving through the water is an aerobic exercise that uses almost every muscle in your body.
Lap swimming will help you build muscle tone, muscle strength and stamina. It’s also very safe with low risk of injury . Swimming is easy on your body as there is no great impact on your skeletal system.
Best of all, swimming can be a comfortable experience all year round in our heated water.

Swimming for personal wellbeing and fitness
45 minute sessions
Our centre offers a number of supervised session times for adults who are already confident, capable swimmers but looking for some personal assistance and advice regarding a structured training program. At these sessions our instructors work with you to refine your strokes, enabling you to become more efficient and effective in the water. They will also support you in identifying and working towards attaining your personal fitness goals.

Aqua Fit
Exercises to music classes – 45 minute sessions
Exercising in water has been shown to be one of the most effective and safest ways to get into shape.
Our team of fully qualified (Aquatic Fitness Leader) instructors provide classes that are fun and cater across age and ability levels.
These sessions provide a balance of cardiovascular and resistance training within a great social environment.
Attending one of our Aquarobics/Aquatone classes will assist you to improve your personal levels of fitness, strength, flexibility and muscle tone.
